Based on law No.23/2019 and related council resolutions, property taxes are one of the main tax streams for local governments in Somaliland. It helps local governments fund delivery of key municipal and social services.

How to apply for Property Tax

They include:

• Login or Register an account as an applicant
• From your dashboard select new Property Tax. Fill out the application form and Submit it. The technical officers at the Local government will review the application.
• After approval, an invoice will be generated and a notification for payment shall be sent via SMS or email. Open the invoice from your dashboard and select Pay Now.
• Upon successful payment, the application will proceed to the Director of Tax.
• Download and print your receipt.
