Birth certificate for citizens.

This service enables customers to request the issue of an official certificate for a newborn to prove the child's lineage, place and date of birth, and nationality. The parents must submit their original documents.

How to apply for birth certificate

• Login or register an account as an applicant, of course, representing the child.
• From your dashboard select new birth certificate. Fill out the application form and submit it. The technical officers at the district will review the application.
• After approval, an invoice will be generated and a notification for payment shall be sent via SMS or email. Open the invoice from your dashboard and select Pay Now.
• Upon successful payment, the application will proceed to the Director of Social Affairs Department for approval/revert.
• Once approved, a digitally signed birth certificate will be automatically generated by the system
• Download and print your birth certificate.

The birth certificate must be certified by the Somaliland Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the embassy of the country in which the birth certificate will be used.
