Based on law No.23/2019 and related council resolutions, business taxes are one of the main tax streams for local governments in Somaliland. It plays an integral part in funding local government functions and services for the inhabitants.

How to apply for Business Tax

They include:

• Login or Register an account as an applicant
• From your dashboard select new Business Registration Tax. Fill out the application form and Submit it. The technical officers at the Local government will review the application.
• After approval, an invoice will be generated and a notification for payment shall be sent via SMS or email. Open the invoice from your dashboard and select Pay Now.
• Upon successful payment, the application will proceed to the Director of Tax for approval/revert.
• Download and print your receipt.
